After its success in New York during last year’s BDNY, the temporary exhibit dedicated to Puglia’s excellence in Design and Architecture comes to Milan with a new look and a focus on sustainable design.
Products, images and imagery of Design made in Puglia, in all its forms, ideas and materials represent one of the most recognized and appreciated values of Puglia: authenticity. Design made in Puglia is authentic and sustainable because it is inherent to the land it belongs to.

Design in Puglia
The Puglia region has always been a place of natural excellence, thanks to its unique geographical position between Europe and the Mediterranean. Over time, new know-how, skills, and technologies have mixed with Puglia’s traditions, leading to new research and experimentation. The resources and techniques of Apulian craftsmanship have been enriched with new values, bringing materials such as stone, fabrics, metal, and ceramics to increasingly appreciated levels of quality and excellence worldwide.
This authenticity, reflecting the unique character of the region, has emerged as a highly valued aspect in the tourism industry. It plays a significant role in making Puglia the destination of choice for millions of visitors each year.
The story of Puglia Design Excellence
The temporary exhibition is organized by Regione Puglia. It aims at enhancing the creativity, talent, and story of seventeen Apulian companies and designers by showcasing a selection of design products made in Puglia. The exhibition also presents the new brand ““POP – Pottery of Puglia”which identifies six Apulian towns with a long-standing tradition in the ceramic sector. A project that aims to protect local artistic heritage and promote Made in Puglia.
For over 20 years, Affreschi & Affreschi has been working as a manufacturer of luxury Italian wall coverings and exporting its products from Minervino di Lecce worldwide. From colors to dimensions, from subjects to inspirations, each design is a sartorial, lively, human project tailored by Italian Master Artisans.
Amura embodies the Mediterranean warmth of its territory, Altamura. It recalls the authentic beauty of Puglia and its rich traditional craftsmanship. Amura is a laboratory of research, innovation, and experiments on trends and materials to create luxury Italian design furniture and sofas.
Artègo Artigianato Creativo opened in Lecce, thanks to the collaboration of two brothers, Oronzo and Gianfranco Conte. Their shared vision led to the creation of a store where visitors can discover the stories of artist-artisans linked to the territory. Artègo brings together art, craftsmanship, and design, using traditional techniques, natural materials and sustainable manufacturing processes.
Bianco Cave by Fato Stone is well known in the field of the extraction and manufacturing of the Lecce limestone, typical of the Salento region. The wide range of quality and chromatic tones of raw materials and the innovative operative approach are the results of strategic and industrial efforts.
Based in Gioia del Colle, Dimarmo is a place where designers and skilled artisans come together to harness stone working traditions. Using an innovative lightened marble technique, the company offers a collection of seats, tables, and accessories with a distinct and original personality.
Located in San Severo, Erbolinea has been creating unique fragrances with a focus on the design, functionality, tradition, and customization of ceramics in terms of colors and formats. The perfumes are crafted with raw materials extracted from flowers, resins, and woods, producing welcoming olfactory notes while respecting nature.
In Andria, in the north of Puglia, Euroluce Light of Italy expresses the quintessence of Made in Puglia in each creation. All the projects are based on the excellence of materials and quality of workmanship, alongside customization, ambience, safety, energy saving, and automation.
Situated in Nardò, IAPIGI is a creative atelier committed to design, where the cherished tradition of Made in Italy merges with experimentation, innovation, and sustainability.
As a wallcovering producer, it gets inspiration from the surroundings, which represent an endless source of new ideas and a rich heritage to know, tell, and respect.
Le Ferre is the name of a district in Castellaneta, a fertile countryside in Taranto. It’s a valley between the Ionian Sea and Murgia, where olive trees are the symbol of a solid past and future, together. The oil company produces a diverse range of extra virgin and flavored olive oils, tailored to the needs and tastes that each individual wants to experience.
Marra Pavimenti was established in Galatina, the heart of Salento, thanks to the dedication of the Marra Brothers, who learnt the art of the master decorator by mixing water with elements such as white cement, fine marble chips, and colored pigments. This represents a blend of strong manufacturing traditions with sustainable, innovative design principles.
Monitillo 1980, located in Altamura, specializes in the art of processing marble, granite, and natural stone, expertly shaped by craftsmen supported by cutting-edge technology. The aim is to exalt the beauty and versatility of these materials, transforming them into furnishings, wall paneling, and accessories that perfectly blend into home environments.
Based in Taurisano, Parisi Luminarie specializes in crafting luminarias and light installations for diverse settings. Their art lies in blending ancient illumination techniques with modern innovations, incorporating energy-saving LED technology, and offering customized luminaries.
Paulicelli Collection, a project by Paulicelli company located in Bari, specializes in the production and marketing of artistic light installations across various sectors. Rooted in the artisanal and cultural tradition of Made in Puglia, these creations are exported worldwide.
Located in Lecce, Pimar has a rich historical tradition in natural limestone manufacturing. The company is dedicated to both extracting stone from its quarries and processing it to create not only traditional but also technical projects, where to preserve tradition while also innovating to set new values.
SKIA, born from the historic Schiavone carpentry workshop in Campi Salentina, produces a distinctive line of home furnishings, embodying the woodworking tradition with a focus on creativity, beauty, and Italian craftsmanship. Sustainability is at its core, reflecting a tangible dedication to responsible production and environmental consciousness.
Located in Corigliano D’otranto, in the south of Lecce, Studio Light Mariano focuses on turning every project into a memorable dream of light through customization, attention to detail, and a commitment to sustainability. The studio uses highly efficient LED technologies, emphasizing product longevity and material recycling.
After 30 years of experience in the extraction and transformation of natural stones and marbles, TWS created Trame di Pietra, in Ostuni. The aim is to offer an innovative interpretation of stone and marble presenting new and unique textures as exquisite surfaces, suitable for flooring and wall coverings.
“POP – Pottery Of Puglia” is the new brand that identifies six towns in Puglia — Laterza, Grottaglie, Terlizzi, Cutrofiano, San Pietro in Lama, and Rutigliano — each with a long-standing tradition in the ceramic sector.
Through the collaboration among these six towns, the brand aims to enhance and spread the art of ceramics, enriching the region’s artistic and cultural heritage to cross borders and reach an ever-expanding audience.
This is a project promoted by Regione Puglia to protect local artistic traditions and promote Made in Puglia.
